December 4, 2016 Two research centres in the Middle East are planning to lift greenhouse horticulture to a higher sustainability level. It will make a substantial contribution to one of the main problems in the region, namely water shortage. Modern greenhouses are a hundred times more efficient with water than traditional ones. The greenhouse horticulture experts from Wageningen Plant Research are providing knowledge related to the establishment of the centres and will continue to be involved in the training and research programmes once open.
